iShot® Sony FCB-ER8550 w/ Twiga 4K HDMI Interface Kit
This kit includes the Sony FCB-ER8550 and Twiga 4K HDMI Interface board and terminated cables and power supply for plug and play operation of this powerful Sony Camera. This bundle is for applications where latency, image quality, and optical zoom are required.
The 4K HDMI Interface board for Sony 4K Cameras offers an enhanced HDMI signal quality with 2160p, 1080i, 1080p, and 720p output support. This board improves the signal of the 4K camera and optimizes image quality, and supports all camera resolutions and frame rates taking advantage of the full range of HD resolutions this camera offers.
Super Resolution Zoom
- FCB-ER8550has 30x zoom, in sync with an optical 20 x zoom lens.
- "By Pixel Super Resolution Technology" suppresses image degradation when an image is enlarged, providing excellent images at their original resolution.
4K @30fps images
The 1/2.5-type Exmor R CMOS image sensor successfully brings superb 4K (QFHD) picture quality. The FCB-ER8550 produces high-quality images using Sony's latest sensor technology in low-light conditions.
20x optical zoom
The high-quality lens features an F2.0 maximum aperture and a 20x optical zoom range. Zoom operation is ideal for smooth, rapid transitions from wide area coverage to detailed close-ups in security and surveillance applications.
Image stabilizer
The Sony FCB-ER8550 features a built-in image stabilizer function that counters low-frequency vibrations. Applications include traffic monitoring and outdoor surveillance, where exposure to the elements can lead to shaking, such as on a bridge or tall structures. It ensures no compromise in image size and blur reduction.
Advanced 2D/3D Noise Reduction
Noise reduction technology filters noise from the images for precise results, especially in low light conditions. Noise reduction settings range from five different levels, and it suits a wide range of operating conditions.
Day/Night
The benefits of optimized picture quality in changing light conditions are frequent challenges in round-the-clock security operations. The Sony FCB-ER8550 operates effectively in lighting levels low as 0.21lx (50%, ICR off, Slow Shutter 1/4s, when High sensitivity is off) and 0.06 lx (50%, ICR off, Slow Shutter 1/4s, when High sensitivity is on).
Visibility Enhancer and De-fog
This feature enhances Picture quality dynamically and adaptively on a pixel-by-pixel basis while continuously adapting to the scene within the given dynamic range. The de-fog features in the Sony FCB-ER8550 allow more precise viewing in foggy or misty settings.
Auto ICR (Auto IR-cut Filter Removal)
The Sony FCB-ER8550 automatically switches from day to night mode in low light conditions; removing the IR-cut filter boosts sensitivity for clear pictures in low-light conditions.
Wide range of features for versatile operation
The Versatile Sony FCB-ER8550 camera operation ensures a wide range of functions and adjustments, including White Balance modes; Picture effects (E-Flip, Black & White, Mirror Image, Gamma, Color Enhancement); Privacy Zone Masking; Picture freeze; Shutter Priority; Iris Priority (26 steps) Slow AE response, etc.
