Borescopes
From extremely small diameters to high temperature and UV inspections, InterTest, Inc. has over 40 years of experience in designing and guiding customers in remote vision borescopes.
Our wide range of high-quality borescopes and endoscopes are used for orbital weld inspection, corrosion detection, quality assurance of castings, and more. Paired with retrieval tools or articulated guide tubes, our borescope brands make a complete system for Foreign Object Search and Retrieval (FOSAR) operations.
What are borescopes?
Borescopes are essential inspection tools used to view hard-to-reach areas that are otherwise inaccessible or difficult to see with the naked eye. Inspectors and quality assurance technicians can visually inspect internal components without dissaembling or destroying equipment, saving signicant time and effort in remote visual inspection (RIV) and non-destructive testing (NDT) disciplines.
Borescopes generally consist of a long, slender insertion tube that are either a rigid or flexible design. Lighting, from LEDs or fiberoptics, is citical for borescopes to illuminate dark, confined spaces.
They must be small enough to enter small passages, yet strong enough to withstand rough and dirty environments commonly associated with the inside of machine and casted metal components.
InterTest has over 40 years of experience designing and engineering remote vision borescopes, from small diameters to extremely high temperatures and UV inspections. Our wide range of high-quality borescopes and endoscopes is ideal for orbital weld inspection, corrosion detection, quality assurance of castings, and many other needs our customers may have.
