Warranty Policy
Limited One-Year Warranty
InterTest, Inc. guarantees our custom products to be free from material and workmanship defects for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase. Other manufacturers' products will carry the OEM's limited warranty, which will be supported and passed through to the purchaser.
Our obligation under this limited warranty shall be confined to the repair or exchange of any part or parts determined by us to be defective under normal use and conditions for which the product was intended and designed. "Determined by us to be defective" means that the returned item has been examined at our facility by one of our qualified technicians, whose judgment shall be deemed final.
Warranty Claims & Returns
Due to the harsh environments in which InterTest, Inc. products are used, all sales are considered final. However, InterTest, Inc. will honor warranty claims for products determined to be defective in material or workmanship within the warranty period. Warranty claims must be pre-authorized by InterTest, Inc. prior to return. Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact InterTest, Inc. immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or incorrect so we can evaluate the issue.
Warranty remedies are limited to repair or replacement at InterTest, Inc.'s sole discretion. Returns for credit outside of warranty claims are accepted only under exceptional circumstances and require pre-authorization. Warranty Exclusions
This limited warranty does not apply to:
- Equipment subject to accident, negligence, alteration, abuse, unauthorized repair, improper storage, or other misuse
- Consumable items, expendable items, or items that have received normal wear and tear
- Product failure due to radiation or use outside the specified range of environmental operating conditions
- Damage resulting from improper equipment usage or improper interpretation of product test data
Disclaimer
This limited warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability and fitness for use. It covers all obligations or liabilities on our part, and we neither assume nor authorize any other person or entity to assume liability regarding the sale of InterTest equipment. This limited warranty accrues to the original purchaser and cannot be assigned or transferred to any third party without express written consent from InterTest, Inc.
Our responsibilities and obligations are strictly limited to the repair and/or replacement costs outlined above.
Field Service
In the event that equipment cannot be returned to InterTest, Inc. for whatever reason and an InterTest, Inc. representative must make a warranty assessment in the field, the customer agrees to pay for all travel and living expenses incurred by InterTest, Inc., including all costs incurred in the course of making an evaluation, assessment, or warranty repair in the field.
Governing Law
This limited warranty shall be governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey.
