Designed for ease of use and superior control, this handle is ideal for operators engaged in high-stakes Foreign Object Search and Retrieval (FOSAR) and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) removal operations, such as power generation maintenance and service.
The secure locking mechanism enables the tool to be fixed in a closed position allowing operators to securely grip and retain foreign debris while simultaneously freeing up their hands for other critical tasks. The locking function ensures that once the debris is retrieved, it stays securely in place, eliminating the risk of accidental drops and increasing overall efficiency.
This handle is ideal for use with the iShot® Imaging VX FOSAR Working Channel Videoscopes providing a more streamlined approach to foreign object retrieval. The videoscope offers precise maneuverability and real-time visibility, while the locking handle ensures that the retrieval tool remains secure during operation. This combination improves control, especially in tight or hard-to-reach areas, making it easier to perform tasks that require both visual guidance and physical manipulation.
The detachable feature of this handle allows retrieval tools with jaws larger than the inner diameter of the guide tube to be backed through the guide tube. This allows the operator to grab larger amounts of FOD in a single pass and use the locking mechanism to free up a hand during the operation.
