The WeldWatch® IR Long Wave Infrared Camera System provides real time video images of weld processes clearly showing arc, puddle and base metal. Utilizing the 8 to 12 µm spectrum, the WeldWatch IR Camera sees through smoke greatly enhancing the visualization of smoky weld processes such as GMAW.
The Patented NSWC technology sees through smoke obscured conditions. With its simple user interface see live or record and play back weld processes.
The WeldWatch IR is a Long Wave Infrared Camera System (LWIR) which provides a clear picture of smoky welding processes such as GMAW. Because it operates in a thermal infrared band (wavelengths between 8 and 12 microns), WeldWatch-IR has the special ability to see the weld metal and arc right through smoke from the weld. In fact, the smoke doesn’t show in the image at all, as if it didn’t exist. WeldWatch-IR is a true “heat camera” that provides real time video images of weld processes clearly showing arc, puddle and base metal.
The camera includes motorized focus and an automatic iris aperture mechanism which opens for setup when the arc is off and for HDR imaging when the arc is on.
